Zambia the real Africa!
My beautiful and peaceful country
Locally known as the Mosi-oa-Tunya, it is a must see tourism sight for visitors coming to Livingstone in the southern part of the country.
Zambia is a land locked country, shearing boundaries with eight other countries - Malawi, Tanzania, Botswana, Angola, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Congo DR and Namibia.

Although copper mining still remains the major economic back born of the country, Tourism and Agriculture have been identified as sectors that can contribute to the economic growth .
Zambia is sparsely populated by more more than 70 ethnic groups. It is also divided into nine (9) Provinces - Copperbelt, Southern, Lusaka, North western, Luapula, Northern, Western, Central and Eastern Provinces.
Lusaka and Copperbelt provinces have been contributing about 60 % of the country's Gross Domestic Product (GDP).
The two provinces are also getting over populated as most people would rather leave their home towns in search of employment.
Another province that has become a hive of activity in the last two years or so is Northwestern.
The opening of Kansanshi and Lumwana Mines has seen an increase in the economic activities in the area.
A number of people have migrated to this place in search of employment. The opening of these two mines have brought a new lease of life to not only the people this province but the country at large.

Refugees in Zambia
On the international front, Zambia is known to be a very peacefully country.
It has in the past accommodated thousands of refugees from its neighbouring countries.
Most of the refugees come from Angola and Congo DR.
The Zambian government works closely with the United Nations Refugee Agency in ensuring that the refugees are well looked after.
Recently a good number of Angolan refugees have been repatriated to their county.
